Felt Hats

Felt cowboy hats can be made from many different types of fur. The most common types of felt are made from sheep’s wool, rabbit, beaver and chinchilla.

Wool hats can insulate, but aren’t the best for rain and snow.

Hats made from rabbit fur will insulate, protect the wearer from the elements and stand up to abuse.

The rabbit, beaver, and chinchilla blend will give you a soft and very durable hat that will last.

The number of X’s in a hat determines the quality of the felt used in its making. The mixture of the furs they use will determine the number of X’s within the hat.

Straw Hats

In straw hats, the tighter the weave and the narrower the straw reed used to make the hat determines the number of X’s
